What makes us different?
As parents, we all want to give our children the best possible start in life. And that means providing them with the tools they need to learn and grow. The idea for Bizzy Bee started as just that. As an early childhood educator and mom of a 2-year-old, I was looking for a way to educate my daughter without sending her to preschool. Now, as a first-grade teacher for over 16 years, I want to give parents an option to do just that, hoping to help other parents in the same position.
Unlike other subscriptions, our kits are designed to help teach young children foundational skills. The primary focus is on phonics, an important component of early literacy development, and the development of foundational math skills. Our games and activities are designed to improve phonemic awareness, phonics, and decoding skills as well as number recognition, addition, and a variety of math skills. Our educational kits provide a strong foundation for reading and math success and a love for learning through games, activities, and crafts.

Some math activities include; find and cover for number recognition, sorting and counting by color and size, one more than/one less than game, graphing shapes, recognizing and distinguishing 3D shapes and their features, using pattern blocks to reason with shapes and their attributes, How Many Bees? game to build number sense, measuring using nonstandard measurement, addition and subtraction games, and more!
Some literacy activities include recognizing and sorting uppercase and lowercase letters, tracing, recognizing and coloring in the letters, playing Go Fish game with letters and their short vowel sounds, playing I Spy with letters, lacing letters with yarn, finding and covering uppercase and lowercase letters, matching uppercase and lowercase letters, prewriting activities and more!
FOCUS AREAS
For phonics practice, try playing our “I Spy” with letter sounds. Using the provided letters, when they find a letter, have your child look around the room for objects that start with that sound. For example, if you choose the sound “m,” they might find a mug, a marker, and a magazine.
For math practice, try using our How Many Bees? game. You create a cool hive for your bees and then using the hive and the bees, you choose a number and hide some bees inside and some bees outside to develop a solid addition foundation.
